Who can use the virtual address services?

MailboxRental.co.uk’s range of virtual mailing address services available to organisations and individuals worldwide.

Do I need to provide ID?

Yes. Inline with current legislation we must confirm your full name and address. We will attempt to do this using various electronic checks. If we are unable to do so we will email you and ask you to provide proof of address and proof of identity.

How do I signup?

MailboxRental.co.uk’s range of professional virtual mailing address services are available online. Signup is quick and easy. Simply visit the relevant service below and select the required package from the pricing table.

Are there any setup fees?

MailboxRental.co.uk currently have a special offer. Signup online to receive free setup. This is usually £10.00

Is there a minimum term contract?

There is no minimum term as such. Our services are available in a range of packages from 1 month right up to 5 years with generous discounts applied for longer services. The minimum would be whichever option you select during checkout.

Is my personal information shared?

No certainly not. MailboxRental.co.uk keep all your personal information strictly confidential, which is stored and processed in strict compliance with our Privacy Policy.

What payment methods do you accept?

MailboxRental.co.uk accept payment by credit/debit card once your service is active you can select our direct debit option for automated payments.

Do you offer a money back guarantee?

Yes. MailboxRental.co.uk are proud of the virtual mailing address services we offer as such we provide a 14 day money back guarantee. Unfortunately due to the additional costs incurred in anti money laundering regulations the registered office and directors service address as excluded.

What is Mailbox Rental

The Mailbox Rental Service (also referred to as Mail Holding or Po Box Rental) is a simple straight forward virtual mailing address service which allows you to use one of our addresses to receive your business and/or personal mail which is held for collection.

What will my address be?

Unlike other providers MailboxRental.co.uk do not use box, suite or unit numbers with our business mailbox rental or personal mailbox rental services.

Your address will simply be your name or business name and our address. If you select the Manchester Central location for example your address will simply be

How will I know I have mail?

Each of our Business Mailbox Rental and Personal Mailbox Rental services include free email notifications. Each time mail is received we will send you an email to let you know. Alternatively you can contact us and we will let you know if you have mail available to collect.

Please note; we can only confirm if mail is available to collect or not we cannot give specific information such as size, weight, appearance or sender details.

When can I collect my mail?

You can collect your mail during normal business hours which vary between branch. In general we are open 09:30 – 17:00 Mon – Thur and 09:30 – 16:30 Friday. Our Manchester Central and Manchester East locations are also open Saturday 10:00 – 14:00

Can I receive parcels?

Yeah. The Personal Mailbox Rental Service and Business Mailbox Rental Service both allow you to receive reasonably sized parcels. If you require large parcels, large volume deliveries or even pallets please see our Mailbox EXTRA service.

Can I use the mailbox rental service as my registered office?

No. The registered address service (with or without the directors address add on) must be ordered as a separate service.

What is the Mail Forwarding service?

the Mail Forwarding service is a simple straight forward virtual mailing address which allows you to receive your business and/or personal mail at one of our locations, as the name suggest mail received on your behalf will be forwarded onto you anywhere in the world.

How will my mail be forwarded?

This is completely up to you. When signing up to our Mail Forwarding Service you will be asked to tell us how you’d like your mail forwarding.

Can I receive parcels?

Yes, both the business mail forwarding service and personal mail forwarding service allow you to receive reasonably sized parcels which will be forwarded onto you anywhere in the world. If you’d like to use our address to receive larger items, high volume deliveries and even pallets please see the Mailbox EXTRA service.

How much does mail forwarding cost?

Mail forwarding is charged at cost. Where additional packaging materials are required such as consolidating multiple packages onto one parcel for example this would be charged at cost plus materials.

The actual final cost of forwarding will depend on the size and weight of the items we’re sending, where we’re sending them to and what service you’ve requested.

Can I use the mail forwarding service as my registered office?

No. The registered address service (with or without the directors address add on) must be ordered as a separate service.

What is the mail scanning service?

The mail scanning service from MailboxRental.co.uk allows you to use one of our addresses to receive your business and/or personal mail. As the name suggests  mail received on your behalf will be scanned and emailed to you.

What will my address be?

How will I receive my mail?

The Mail Scanning Service from MailboxRental.co.uk allows you to use one of our locations for your business and/or personal mail. Any mail received on your behalf will be scanned and emailed to you as a PDF attachment.

What happens to the mail once scanned?

Once we have scanned and sent you your mail we will securely store the original for 14 days during which time you can request the original. If you do not request the original within this time frame it is securely shredded and sent for recycling.

Can I receive parcels.

The Mail Scanning service from MailboxRental.co.uk is designed especially for mail (letters) however there may be occasions when you receive the odd item which cannot be scanned including packages and parcels. These can be forwarded onto you at cost.

Why do I need a registered office?

The Companies Act, requires all Company’s to have a registered office, where official documents can be delivered and considered as delivered, your statutory documents can be stored at your registered office and made available for public inspection upon request.

Can I use my home address as my registered office?

Certainly. You can use your home address as your registered if you wish and don’t mind your home address becoming public information.

Before choosing to use your home address you should be aware that your home address will be publicly available online. You should also carefully check your lease, tenancy agreement or mortgage agreement as there are often clauses which prohibit the use of your home for business purposes. It is also worth letting your insurance company know too.

What is included with the Registered Address Service?

The Registered Office service will allow you to use one of our locations as the registered office of your limited company. We will keep a copy of all your statutory documents on file and offer facilities for public inspection upon request.

We will accept deliveries of all your official mail such as letters from Companies House, HMRC an other legal authorities and deliver them to you the same day back scan to email. (regular mail forwarding available on request)

How will my mail be forwarded?

As a standalone service (with or with the directors address add on) your mail will be received and scanned and emailed to you the same day we receive it (no more waiting for the postman)

If you have any other services with us such as the mailbox rental service, mail forwarding service or mailbox Extra your mail will be either held alongside other mail for you to collect or forwarded onto you.

If however you’d prefer to have your mail forwarded onto you via regular mail instead of scan to email, we can arrange this the only difference would be you are responsible for the cost of forwarding.

Is there anything I cannot receive?

As a standalone service the Registered Office service (with or without the directors address add on) is to be used exclusively as the registered office of your limited company as such letters from customers, suppliers, banks etc are not included.

Mail for the following bodies is acceptable on the registered address service

  • Companies House
  • Information Commissionaires Office
  • Intellectual Property Office
  • HM Courts and Tribunals
  • HM Land Registry

If you’d like to use the Registered Address service for any other purpose such as letters from customers, suppliers or banks you should consider adding either Mailbox Rental, Mail Forwarding or Mail Scanning

How do I access my online account?

How do I view my services?

You can view your services at anytime by visiting the My Account page and clicking “Orders” this will list all your services both active and in active. For futher details on a particular service click “View”

How do I cancel my services?

Cancelling your service is easy, and we don’t have long notice periods or difficult contacts and clauses, Simply let us know you wish to cancel providing just 7 days written notice (by email is fine) we will get everything cancelled for you.
